Sony has realized the true potential of this technology and decided to integrate it into its product.

The most recent announcement was the confirmed release of a new Type-C charging dock. The device is a sleek looking powerhouse with trademarks of Sony electronics all over it. The new Sony DK60 will be available in the markets by February 2017 and will be sold for $49.
