Back in September 2019, Sony had unveiled the Xperia 5 with triple rear camera setup SDM 855 Chipset, and now the brand is planning to launch its next smartphone. New renders published by Steve Hemmerstoffer (@OnLeaks) partnership with Slashleaks suggest the Japanese phone manufacturer is preparing to launch a rather elegant-looking successor that could be called the Xperia 5 Plus. The Slashleaks reveals that the Xperia 5 Plus is expected to have a 6.6 inches OLED display coupled with virtually undetectable side bezels. The shared renders show that the forehead of the alleged phone may have stereo speakers and an 8-megapixel selfie camera. The Xperia 5 Plus is rumored to have a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and a vertically shaped triple camera setup with a TOF sensor and a 3.5mm audio jack on the top. The bottom of the phone seems to have a USB-C port while you’ll get a usual power key on the right side. According to the Slashleaks, the upcoming handset will measure 168.2 x 71.6 x 8.1mm dimensions (9.3mm, including rear camera bump). Furthermore, the phone might be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Chipset (7nm) paired with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB ROM. Yet, Sony hasn’t revealed the launch date of Xperia 5 Plus, but we hope the company may share some details as well as launch date in the coming weeks.
