Vivo iQOO 3 Pro 5G bags 3C certification, S7 5G renders leaked

A mysterious Vivo phone with model number V2024A has received approval from the 3C authority of China. It is not the first time that the handset has been spotted. At the beginning of the previous month, the Vivo V2024A had appeared on Geekbench 5 with a flagship processor. The rumor mill speculated that the V2024A could be the upcoming iQOO 3 Pro 5G smartphone. In addition, the Chinese smartphone maker has released the official render of the Vivo S7 5G.

The 3C appearance reveals that the Vivo iQOO 3 Pro 5G (V2024A) smartphone will support 5G connectivity. It also suggests that the phone could be shipping in the market with a 55W fast charger. The iQOO 3 5G phone that debuted in February was fueled by the Snapdragon 865 SoC. Also, the handset was shipped with a 55W charger. The Geekbench 5 appearance of the iQOO 3 Pro 5G had revealed that it could either be powered by the Snapdragon 865 SoC or the latest Snapdragon 865 Plus mobile platform. The listing had further revealed that the phone will have 8 GB of RAM and it runs on Android 10 OS. The V2024A 3C’s certification suggests that it may soon bag approval from the TENAA telecom authority of China. Hence, there is a possibility that the phone may go official as early as next month.

On the other hand, a leaked official render shows that just like the recently announced Vivo X50 smartphone series, the upcoming Vivo S7 will have a unique-looking rectangular camera setup on the top-left corner of its rear side. The triple-camera setup will include a 64-megapixel primary camera as revealed by the wording etched to the left-hand side of the camera housing. The right of its LED flash, there is also a wording that reads “Hybrid Zoom.” This hints that the device will also be arriving with a telephoto lens this time around. It is rumored that the front notch will be home to a pair of selfie cameras which will include a 44-megapixel main camera as well as an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens. The Vivo S7 is expected to be driven by an octa-core Snapdragon 765G SoC which will bring 5G support for both standalone (SA) and non-standalone (NSA) modes.
