Xiaomi’s next smartphone will carry a 4.3 inch Display with Snapdragon 820

Earlier this month Xiaomi launched Mi 5 flagship at MWC 2016 in Barcelona. The device will be shipped to India on Thursday. Now a novel image leaked and hints that the company is working on smaller version of Xiaomi smartphone.

The image comes from Weibo via Gizchina which shows an unknown black colored smartphone's display running MIUI. It is said that the device will pack a 4.3-inch HD display with (720x1280 pixels) resolution might be it would be competitor of iPhone SE. The mobile runs latest Qualcomm chipset, the Snapdragon 820, alliance with 3GB of RAM. It is also expected to have 13-megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilization and 32GB of native storage.

The 4.3 inch device will support a fingerprint scanner and it is expected to carry a CNY 1,799 ($276.38) price tag. Though Xiaomi hasn’t confirmed all above specifications in the device, if the 4.3 inch device comes in the market with all aforementioned specifications then it would be a tinny device with superior specifications.

Apart from that the Xiaomi Mi 5 will go on sale in India on coming Thursday.  Previously the device was unveiled in China and it received 16 million registrations for the first sale of Mi 5 in China. If you forget, the Xiaomi Mi 5 was announced in three versions such as standard edition featuring 3GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 32GB inbuilt storage; prime version featuring 3GB LPDDR4 RAM and 64GB storage, and pro version featuring 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 128GB storage. It is ambiguous that Indians will get all three versions or not.
