Xiaomi Poco M2 goes official with Helio G80 SoC and 13MP quad-camera setup

Xiaomi Poco M2 has been launched in India at a virtual event. The phone is just a rebranded version of the Redmi 9 Prime that debuted recently in India. The handset comes in colors like Pitch Black, Slate Blue, and Brick Red. Key specifications of the phone include the MediaTek Helio G80 SoC, a massive 5,000mAh battery, and 18W fast-charging support. Poco M2 will be available for purchase for the first time at 12 PM on September 15 through Flipkart.

The POCO M2 runs MIUI 12 based on Android 10 OS. POCO M2 sports a 6.53-inch FHD+ display with a waterdrop notch for the selfie camera and Corning Gorilla Glass. It is powered by the MediaTek Helio G80 SoC coupled with 6GB RAM and up to 128GB storage that is further expandable via a microSD card slot. The phone also gets a P2i coating for splash resistance. The POCO M2 comes with a quad-camera setup on its rear. It comprises of a 13-megapixel primary lens, an 8-megapixel ultrawide snapper, a 5-megapixel macro lens, and a 2-megapixel depth assist lens. For selfies, the phone features a front camera of 8-megapixel. The phone is backed by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging. It has a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor for security.
