Xiaomi Redmi 3, Redmi Note 3 Descendants Purportedly Hit TENAA Certification

According to a report two novel Xiaomi smartphones have passed TENAA certification. The listing exposes images and specifications of the devices with codename Mi 2015115 and Mi 2016030.

Both devices look identical to the existing Xiaomi Redmi 3 and Xiaomi Redmi Note 3. It is expected that both device will feature a fingerprint sensor at the backside. As per TENAA listing, the Mi 2015115 which is successor of Redmi Note 3 packs 5.5-inch full-HD screen with 1080x1920 pixels resolution. The smartphone is powered by hexa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz; 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of native storage. The smartphone sports 16-megapixel primary camera and a 5-megapixel front facing camera. The mobile runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop and hold 4000 mAh battery. Last year model Redmi Note 3 base model was priced at CNY 899 (approximately USD $136) so we expect that its descendant will be priced around.


The other device Redmi 3A is listed as Mi 2016030; it features a 5-inch HD LCD display with 720x1280 pixels resolution. It is powered by octa-core processor clocked at 1.4GHz; 2GB of RAM; 16GB of inbuilt storage. The mobile have 13-megapixel main camera, and an 8-megapixel selfie camera. The smartphone runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow and a 2850mAh battery will keep the lights on. The Xiaomi Redmi 3 smartphone was available for CNY 699(approximately USD $106) at launch. We can expect that the Redmi 3A device will be launched about this price point.
