The Redmi 9 Power is official now in India as Xiaomi's latest budget smartphone. As expected, the handset goes official in the country as a rebranded Redmi Note 9 4G that debuted in China last month. However, Redmi 9 Power comes with slight differences in the camera, RAM, and storage. It will be going on sale in the country via Amazon.in, Mi.com, Mi Home stores, and Xiaomi's retail partner stores starting December 22.

Xiaomi Redmi 9 Power price and full specs

The newly launched Redmi 9 Power houses a 6.53-inch IPS display with FHD+ resolution and a water-drop notch at the top for the 8MP selfie camera. It is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 662 chipset, paired with 4GB of RAM and up to 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage. On the back of the phone is a quad-camera setup featuring a 48MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, a 2MP depth sensor, and a dedicated 2MP macro lens. This is unlike the Redmi Note 9 4G that had triple rear cameras, with the absence of a macro shooter. The phone also comes with stereo speakers that are Hi-Res Audio certified. Xiaomi has provided a side-mounted fingerprint sensor on the Redmi 9 Power. There is a 6,000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging. On the software side of things, the phone runs Android 10-based MIUI 12.
