Xiaomi Says: The Company Sold Over 600,000 Units of Redmi Note 3 in India

On 27 April Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 went on sale in India, today the company declared that it has sold more than 600,000 units of the Redmi Note 3 in India. Hugo Barra, Xiaomi's Global VP, announced in a Facebook post and said that the sale record is a firm’s biggest record yet.

Lately the Redmi Note 3 has been available for purchase through open sales along the flagship Mi 5.  Some of the noticeable features of the smartphone are fingerprint scanner and all metal body. The mobile maker claimed that the Redmi Note 3 smartphone can recognize up to 5 fingerprint profiles. Users also obtain free payment to Hungama for 2 months. The mobile was available through Amazon and Mi.com websites and it was also promised to be available via other E-commerce partners such as Snapdeal, and Flipkart.


The Redmi Note 3 features a 5.5 inches IPS LCD display with 1080 x 1920 pixels resolutions.The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm MSM8956 Snapdragon 650, coupled with CPU Quad-core 1.4 GHz Cortex-A53 & Dual-core 1.8 GHz Cortex-A72, and clocked at GPU Adreno 510. It comes in two variants such as one variant owns 16 GB native storage with 2 GB RAM, and the other one has a 3 GB RAM, and 32 GB internal storage.


In the photography section, the device has a 16 MP primary camera with f/2.0, phase detection autofocus, dual-LED (dual tone) flash feature. There is a 5 MP front facing camera with f/2.0 as well, which can record 1080p videos. The Redmi Note 3 sports microUSB v2.0, USB On-The-Go , Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band, WiFi Direct, hotspot, v4.1, A2DP, LE Bluetooth, GPS and several other connectivity options. 


A 4000 mAh non-removable battery keeps the device on and the mobile sports fast battery charging as well. The mobile is available in Silver, Gray, and Gold color options. The 2GB variant is priced at INR. 9,999 (approximately USD $ 149), whilst the 3GB variant is available for INR. 11,999 (around USD $179). If the Redmi Note 3 continues to make good sales, it could give significant profit to the company.
