Design and Display

Since a year BlackBerry follows the same tradition and gives the trendy look to the handset but in the case of Z3 they have changed the design and launched the handset in different style in a square bezel. The handset has a rubber back which makes the handset easy to grip and convenient. The handset has a 140 x 72.8 x 9.3 mm dimensions and it carries 164 grams weight. The weight of the handset is quite reasonable and makes the device handy. The handset has a 5 inches large capacitive touch display having 540 x 960 pixels resolution. The combination of the resolution is good to use in bright light as well as in dark.

Software and User Interface

Black Berry has its own designed integrated interface. The handset runs BlackBerry 10.2.1 OS. This is the light weight operating system which consumes low battery power. This operating system increases the life of the battery and gives the chance to the users to enjoy the features of the handset to the maximum extent. This is not the complicated software and there is a pre installed help menu present for the users. If users get stuck anywhere while using the handset they can easily take the help from the pre installed glossary. The interface is fully graphic based and provides a colorful screen to the users.

Processor and Memory

BlackBerry Z3 has a good configuration. The handset is embedded with Dual-core 1.2 GHz Krait 200 processor and powered with Qualcomm MSM8230 Snapdragon 400 system on chip. For the graphics interface company placed Adreno 305 GPU in the handset. 1.5 GB RAM and 8 GB in built memory is offered by the company. Users can extend the in-built memory up to 32 GB externally via micro SD card. The combination of in built memory and RAM is quite well and users can run large files and performing multi task easily without facing any difficulty.

Camera

We already told the users this is the basic level handset. So camera is also placed according to the other specifications. The handset has a 5 mega pixel back and 1.1 mega pixel front facing camera. Users can easily take the images in dark because the handset has an LED flash on its back. Beside the LED the handset has an autofocus feature so users don’t need to push extra efforts to set the angle of the image.

  Battery

The company made the big blunder in the placement of battery. Company inserted Non-removable Li-Ion 2500 mAh battery in the handset which can affect popularity of the handset. Although the battery provides 384 hours of standby and 15 hours 30 minutes of talk time which is quite beneficial but the users prefer to use the handset with a removable battery.
