Honor 8 Lite review: the affordable side of Huawei

Maq Ahmed Editor Rating: 3.9 / 5

Huawei has made a name for itself by bringing high-quality dual-camera setups in its Huawei P, honor and Mate line-ups. Such is not the case for the Huawei Honor 8 Lite, though, as the phone came out last February straight to the lower-range price smartphone market.

Both the Honor 8 and the Honor 6X, introduced January came out with dual cameras. Dual-camera arrays can help pictures achieve more depth, clarity, and crisp, even on affordable phones.

Said models came to be mass-market versions of its premium phone, the Mate 9 and took the gap on the market created by the retirement of Samsung’s flagship Galaxy Note 7 after problems emerge with its batteries catching on fire and exploding.

The Honor 8 Lite serves a different purpose. Apart from some extra camera tweaks, it has lower specs to match its lower price tag.
