Design and Display

Nokia X 2 is strongly inspired from Lumia 525. The handset is made up with the shiny solid plastic with removable back cover. The handset has a rectangular shape similar to the previously launched Nokia X. The Nokia X measures 121.7 x 68.3 x 11.1 mm in dimension which give the accurate look to the handset. Because of its plastic body the handset weighs 150 grams which is not too heavy neither too light but it makes the handset one hand use and users can easily hold the handset in one hand without feeling the burden.

Nokia X2 has a 4.3 inches IPS LCD capacitive touch screen with 480 x 800 pixels resolutions. The display size is bigger than the earlier but pixel density is same and like the previous one, users have to face the irritating color resolutions problem in a bright light because the display is not too sharp and bright. Although this is not the high end device but Nokia needs to consider the display resolution pixel density to save the users from the irritating results while using the handset in the bright light.

Software and User Interface

In the software and interface aspect Nokia X2 follows the foot of predecessor Nokia X. Nokia X2 runs Android OS, v4.3 (Jelly Bean) the older version of Android. Though the operating system is easy in use and consumes less power while using but the fact cannot be denied the operating system is not embedded with the latest features. Usually Nokia uses the Window platform but the device belongs to the X family and the X family runs the Android operating system that is why the Nokia X2 also runs the same. Users familiar with the windows phone interface feel little irritation because swiping the windows takes time in comparison with the windows phone and the one major defect the users face is no application drawer option present in the handset and users need to find the application on the static menu of the handset. Besides these the interface is perfect and any one can use the handset without facing the function problem.

Processor and Memory

The device will not face the problem while running the operating system because the handset has a perfect hardware combination. Nokia X 2 is embedded with Dual-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A7 processor with Qualcomm MSM8210 Snapdragon 200 chip which gives the speed to the handset and makes the handset perform well in a balanced way. For running the graphics interface the handset has an Adreno 302 graphic processing unit which performs the function with the processor to give the best graphic interface to the user. 1GB RAM is offered by the company for performing multi tasks at the same time without any hassle. The handset has a 4GB on board memory to download and run the large games, movies and a huge collection of music; this is not enough on board memory can be extendable up to 32 GB via microSD card the card slot present in the handset. Users can save their required data in the memory card as well and whenever they want to assess the data they can select the option from their Nokia X2 and the data opens within a minutes in front of the users.

Camera

The handset will have the rear and back camera. Rear camera consists of 5 mega pixel and front facing camera for video chat. The rear camera has 2592 х 1944 pixels resolutions which make the camera quite efficient and give the fine quality of images to the users. The autofocus feature is embedded with the camera. When the users select the camera option and set the camera to take the image the camera automatically focuses as best and users can get the image without focusing manually. LED flash is another great camera feature in this option; user can take the pictures easily in the cloudy and dark environment as fine as in the shiny light.

Battery

The Nokia X 2 has a removable back cover which means the handset is powered with removable battery. The handset is energized by Li-Ion 1800 mAh battery (BV-5S) which gives the stand by time up to 552 hours and talk time up to 10 hours 2G and up to 13 hours in 3G networks. This is quite sufficient to make the handset perfect and give the maximum chance to the users to use the handset with their maximum limits.
