Introduction

Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 is a new upcoming tablet with some new features and characteristics. Previously quite a few models like Galaxy Tab Pro 12, Galaxy Tab Pro 4.7 have been released with their own individual characteristics in hardware and software. They were all very nice tablets fulfilling the requirements of their time and amused the users. Samsung Galaxy Tab 4.10.1 is a new in the series and definitely has something new to offer and something new added to it in hardware as well as software. Here in this review we shall see what all it contains and how it compares with the previous.   

Specification

Design And Display

Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 has 10.1 inches display with 800 x 1280 pixels resolution and is a capacitive touch screen IPS LCD with 16 mono colors . it is much bigger than the previous version galaxy Tab 4.7.0 which has only 7 inches display with same resolutions. The new tablet measures 106 x 187 x 8.9 mm which is quite a reasonable size. It weighs 320 grams and there is no difference between the two. Apparently it is well design and has suitable display features. It should serve the curiosity of the keen users.

Software And User Interface

It runs Android 4.4.2 Jelly Bean as an operating system. There is no difference between the older version and this new version they both runs the same operating system with almost the same interface. The both variants provide the user friendly interface which is easy to use anybody can use this operating system without any problem. All the applications are utility based and up to the expectations of users.

Processor And Memory

Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 has Quad-core 1.2 GHz processor and powered with 1.5 GB RAM having, 16/32 GB in built memory extendable up to 64 GB with micro SD card. The previous model has 1 GB RAM, 8 GB memory and microSD extendable up to 64 GB. That way the new tablet is better equipped than the predecessor. This configuration is reasonably good to meet the needs of an average user and is quite sufficient who needs extensive memory.

Camera

Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 provided with two cameras; primary camera is 8 mega pixels located on the back side of the tablet and secondary camera is 2 mega pixels which is better than previous variant. Galaxy Tab 4.7.0 has primary camera 3.15 MP, 2048 x 1536 pixels, autofocus and secondary camera of 1.3 MP. Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 is much better equipped and has better photographic capacity and results. Both are auto focused and behave equally well in all types of light conditions. However the difference between the two is inherent according to the specifications of the cameras.

Battery

 Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 is energize by Non-removable Li-Ion 6800 mAh battery. The previous version Samsung Galaxy Tab 4.7.0 has non-removable Li-Ion 4450 mAh battery. Other details regarding battery about the new tablet are not known but we can assume from the details about the previous version having stand by Up to 350 hrs times on both 2G and 3G networks and talk time up to 7 h 30 minutes. The battery of the new tablet is almost 1.5 times than the previous therefore we can expect much better performance. However this is the weak point of the tablet that it has non removable battery.

Price

The new tablet is available for $350 as compare to 270$ for the previous model. There is quite a difference in the prices; there is a difference in quality, configuration and other features.
