A few days ago a rumor hinted that Samsung is working on a Galaxy S7/Galaxy S7 Edge glossy black color variant. The current Galaxy S7/S7 Edge black is already glossy but might be the reason of launching a new handset is to compete iPhone 7/iPhone 7 Edge Jet Black.
Some pictures of the device also leaked and show how the Galaxy S7 Edge will look like. The pictures leaked from Weibo account give a dashing look with glossy front and back. Mate black metal frame is wrapped on edges of the smartphone unlike the regular Onyx Black Galaxy S7/S7 edge, which has a grey-colored metal side frame.
It seems that Samsung was already prepping for the Glossy Galaxy S7/Galaxy S7 Edge model but didn't due to some reason or another. The iPhone 7/iPhone 7 Plus Jet Black also gives similar feel but Apple also recommends using a case with the smartphones to protect from scratches. We expect that the Galaxy S7 will be the same and users need to use a case with the device. The backside of the device wouldn’t resist against fingerprints.
The Glossy Black Galaxy S7/S7 Edge is expected to launch in Christmas Holidays. In terms of specifications, the device will come with smilar features and specifications.
