Corning Supports Gorilla Glass 5 against Galaxy Note7 Scratch Tests

The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is the first phablet to feature a Gorilla Glass in Note series. The device was launched earlier this month. A YouTuber JerryRigEverything performed a scratch test with metal tools. He performs the scratch test by using hard tools which are all independently envoy of the Moh’s scale of hardness.

In the scratch test, the Galaxy Note 7 didn’t perform well and it showed scratches on third level. Android Authority conducted an interview with people over at Corning to find out what could be going on with the Note7’s G.G.5 screen.  Corning answered with: “the test that was performed in the video is apparently not a bonafide industry test. It is using Mohs stiffness picks but it is  in an unrestrained manner. We also don’t know a whole lot about what loads the person has used. Whether those loads are changing as he goes through the testing.”

A superior risk of scratching could be totally probable with an enhanced smash confrontation. The interview with Corning went on invalidating the YouTuber’s test despite previous with previous G.G. versions scratching at Moh’s level 5 or 6). The interviewee said that, we don’t know what kind of pressure he used when scraping these phones with these picks.

Interview of Corning with Android Authority can be finding over on YouTube, his tone was suspicious and his arguments are quite expedient. However, the actual truth will be out and the world will know the reality soon. Till then you can use a protector to protect your Note 7 screen from scratches or other kind of damages.
