Gionee Elife S5.5 is the first thinnest handset break the world record with its 5.2 mm bezels but this is not the last and after that many manufactures like Oppo and Vivo also release their handset with the slimmest body. The Gionee Elife S5.5 was announced in September and since November 2014 the handset is available in the market with the competitive price of $380 which is not the cost for this powerful mobile. It has only 97.7 grams weight and 4.8 inches display which is easy to carry and comfortable to use from one hand.
Gionee Elife S5.5 is the Android based handset and runs KitKat version of operating system and has the power with Octa-core 1.7 GHz Cortex-A7 which works with Mediatek MT6592 chipset and Mali-450MP4 GPU and has the capacity of 1 G RAM along with 16 GB on board memory but there is no card slot present for extending the on board memory. It has 8 mega pixel rear and 5 mega pixel front facing camera and energized with Non-removable Li-Ion 2050 mAh battery. The Gionee Elife S5.5 suffered from two weak point’s lack of card slot and non removable battery.
