Oppo is always considered the king for innovative camera smartphones. Remember those days with Oppo N3, the world’s first rotating camera phone. Later the first 5x digital zoom camera offered by Oppo, and then the Oppo mounted up another height with the launch of world’s first Sliding Selfie Camera phone.

But perhaps there is no full stop. In a recent report, it says Oppo is preparing the world’s first Under-Display Camera phone. It would be true under the screen, don’t like others in-screen selfie cams, which used to call notch or punch hole in the display for the camera. The display is said to be infinite and bezel-less, and there’s no space for any hole or notch in fully flat screen.

This story doesn’t end here. Another fresh report claimed that Under-Display Camera phone would be Oppo Find Y. Earlier rumors have also confirmed the Find Y won’t retain that Sliding Selfie Cam from Find X, and it (Y) would use a different optical setup. So, it is not hard to believe.

For those who were confused whether the Find Y will really exist or not, Oppo gave a green signal to them by submitting Find Y trademark in EUIPO. Though we don’t know when it will come, at least we can suggest it see this year.

We hope Find Y will keep the cost down, for which Find X was unable to achieve even its sales target, as it is available for the higher price equivalent to an iPhone.

In terms of specs, analysts and tipsters suggested Find Y feature a Snapdragon 855 chipset and up to 12GB RAM, though for the premium version.

In our expectation list, Find Y will come along 5G support or a separate 5G-capable version. 5G support could assist Oppo to prefer its flagship in comparison to others.
