A tipster with a good track in history for leaks, Ice Universe claimed via Twitter the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 will have a three-stage variable aperture which can switch between f/1.5, f/1.8 and f/2.4. The source reported Samsung has been working on such a camera setup since the beginning of 2019. Unluckily, the three-stage switchable aperture was not ready to implement at the moment of launch of Galaxy S10. But now the company is quite ready to integrate the lens in Note 10.

The three-stage variable aperture of Samsung Note 10 will improve photography for any light case. Wider the aperture is, brighter the image. The f/1.5 is reasonably wider aperture for low light shots, as such low aperture allows more light to come in, therefore it helps a lot at night or in dark situations. On the other hand, when you talk about a sunny day or illuminated environment where the extra light causes to capture nothing but a blank white image at least from edges. For such cases, Samsung chooses a variable aperture option which lets a camera user switch to f/1.7 or f/2.4 as per desire in order to capture lesser light. This will enhance images sharpness. One f/2.4 lens gives the most detailed and sharpens image among others.

Surely, the variable aperture will also be available with more powerful Galaxy Note 10 Pro. Both the devices are set to unveil on August 7, 2019. And of course, they will be costly, too.
