Apple Reportedly Working on Foldable Smartphone

It seems that Samsung will not be only one company to launch foldable smartphone, a new report originated from Korea hints that Apple is also looking for a partner for OLED and curved displays. The report adds that Microsoft, and Google are also wants to make alliance with LG for curved panels, meaning 2017 would give us several high-end foldable smartphones to choose from.


It is expected that Korean Conglomerate would be the largest supplier for iPhone 8 curved displays. The mass production is expected to start in 2018, so LG and Samsung will compete each other in order to supply OLED panels to Apple.


As per ETNews, LG will mass produce foldable displays for Apple, but for Microsoft and Google as well. It is quite exciting detail because we haven’t heard any rumor regarding Google or Microsoft foldable devices.


It is not new that Google is grabbing attention of iPhone customers with its latest pixel design. As per rumors, both Apple and Samsung are expected to launch next flagships with curved OLED display, so Google will probably follow them. All of the three brands are expected to improve the camera quality of their next flagships.


Microsoft could use foldable display for its upcoming Surface smartphone or in its tablets as well. It is vague yet when Google, and Microsoft will launch its curved device, while Samsung is expected to release its smartphone in 2017. The new patents of Samsung foldable smartphone have already leaked in the online pictures.
